GFEVG Dual-Circuit Battery Fuse Holder — 400A / 800A, 12V–500V DC

Two M8-stud circuits on one black Bakelite base. 400A per circuit, 800A in dual use, 2 kA breaking, built for car and ship battery protection.

Because dual-battery setups need two protected circuits on one mounting point, installers choose the GFEVG dual-circuit holder. In particular, it carries 400A per circuit and 800A in dual use. Moreover, both studs are M8. As a result, it suits dual-battery cars, yachts and RVs up to 500V DC.

Hauptmerkmale

  • Two circuits in one block: 400A per circuit, 800A combined.
  • M8-Gewindebolzen: suit heavy-gauge battery cable lugs.
  • 12V–500V DC: covers cars, marine and higher-voltage DC systems.
  • 2 kA breaking: clears typical battery short-circuit faults.
  • UL94 V-0 Bakelite base: flame-retardant and rigid.

Why dual-battery builds choose it

Because dual-battery setups run separate starter and house banks, they need two fuses on a shared mounting footprint. Consequently, installers use one GFEVG block instead of two single-circuit holders. For example, a yacht uses one stud for the starter battery and one for the house bank. However, never exceed 400A on either circuit. In addition, the M8 studs accept standard heavy cable lugs.

How to install

First, bolt the base near the battery busbar. Next, connect each battery lead to its own M8 stud. Then insert a correctly rated protection fuse into each circuit. Finally, torque the M8 nuts to specification and close the cover. If you need a specific stud length or lug size, simply specify at order time.

Ratings and studs

What is the current rating?–
Each circuit handles 400A, and in dual-circuit use the holder supports 800A total. In fact, never load a single stud above 400A; therefore, size each fuse to its own cable.
What is the voltage range?+
The holder works from 12V to 500V DC. Thus, it suits 12V car systems as well as higher-voltage battery banks. However, the installed fuse must carry the same voltage rating.
Welche Bolzengröße wird verwendet?+
Both circuits use M8 studs on 41.8 mm centers. In addition, the contact resistance is below 5mΩ; in short, the connection stays cool under load.

Construction and use

What is the breaking capacity?+
The breaking capacity is 2 kA. Hence, it clears typical battery short circuits in cars and small vessels; for larger fault levels, consult the factory.
What is the base made of?+
The base is black Bakelite rated UL94 V-0, and the fasteners comply with GB/T 20878-2007. Besides that, the insulation resistance exceeds 100MΩ and the withstand voltage is 1500VAC.
Where is it used?+
It is designed for car and ship battery protection fuses. Consequently, installers also use it in RV dual-battery systems; in short, it fits any dual-circuit DC battery feed up to 500V.
