Powering Industries
That Move the World
From electric vehicles to energy storage systems, EssFuse circuit protection solutions safeguard critical applications across six key industries.
Six Key Application Areas
Our fuses are engineered to meet the unique demands of each industry.
Electric Vehicles (EV)
High-voltage DC protection for battery packs, inverters and onboard chargers.
500V – 1500V DCEnergy Storage (ESS)
Battery energy storage systems for residential, commercial and utility-scale.
48V – 1500V DCSolar / PV
String inverters, combiner boxes and photovoltaic system protection.
1000V – 1500V DCAutomotive
Traditional and hybrid vehicle electrical systems, 12V/24V/48V platforms.
12V – 48V DCIndustrial Automation
PLC systems, motor drives, robotics and factory automation equipment.
250V – 690V AC/DCEV Charging
AC and DC fast charging stations, charging piles and power modules.
400V – 1000V DCHigh-Voltage Protection for EV Powertrains
Electric vehicles operate at 400V to 1000V DC with fault currents exceeding 20kA. EssFuse high-voltage DC fuses provide ultra-fast interruption to protect battery packs, motor controllers, inverters and onboard chargers from catastrophic short-circuit damage.
Our gPV and aR class fuses are certified to UL 248-13 and designed specifically for DC systems, ensuring reliable protection over the full EV operating temperature range (-40°C to +85°C).
Battery Energy Storage System Protection
From residential Powerwall to utility-scale BESS, energy storage systems require robust DC protection at every level — cell, module, rack and system. EssFuse fuses are deployed in PCS (Power Conversion Systems), BMS and battery racks worldwide.
Our high-voltage DC fuses feature low power loss and stable temperature rise, maximizing system efficiency while providing reliable short-circuit and overload protection for lithium-ion battery systems.
PV String & Inverter Protection
Solar PV systems generate up to 1500V DC with unique fault characteristics including low-level fault currents and reverse current conditions. EssFuse gPV photovoltaic fuses are specifically designed to interrupt these challenging DC fault conditions.
Used in string combiner boxes, re-combiner boxes and central inverters, our PV fuses protect solar panels, wiring and inverter equipment from overcurrent and reverse current damage in both rooftop and utility-scale installations.
12V/24V/48V Vehicle Electrical Systems
Traditional ICE and mild-hybrid vehicles rely on blade fuses, MIDI fuses, ANL fuses and bolt-down fuses to protect wiring harnesses, accessories and high-current systems. EssFuse offers the complete range of automotive fuse types with OEM-quality performance.
All automotive fuses are manufactured to SAE J2077 and UL 248-11 standards, with tin-plated terminals for corrosion resistance and consistent conductivity over the vehicle’s service life.
Factory Automation & Control Systems
Industrial automation systems including PLCs, VFDs, servo drives and robotics require reliable overcurrent protection for both AC and DC control circuits. EssFuse high-speed semiconductor fuses and cylindrical fuses deliver precise protection for power electronics.
Our aR and gG class fuses are used in variable frequency drives, UPS systems, welding equipment and CNC machines, providing coordination with upstream breakers and downstream protection devices.
AC & DC Fast Charging Stations
EV charging stations operate at high power levels — DC fast chargers can deliver 350kW+ at 1000V DC. EssFuse high-voltage DC fuses protect charging power modules, rectifiers and output circuits from short-circuit faults.
Used in public charging piles, workplace chargers and destination charging, our fuses ensure safe and reliable operation 24/7, with high breaking capacity and low temperature rise for continuous duty cycling.
